New York Liberty and Gotham FC Host Collaborated Clinic

In honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day, the New York Liberty partnered with PowerPlay and Gotham FC to host an all-girls soccer and basketball clinic in South Slope, Brooklyn. Sponsored by CarMax, 40 participants were able to take part in a variety of fun basketball and soccer drills including ball-handling, passing, agility, etc. New York Liberty stars, Courtney Vandersloot and Betnijah Laney, and Gotham FC stars, Abby Smith and Nealy Martin, were all in attendance providing some tips and tricks for their respective sports. At the end of the clinic, girls from PowerPlay were able to ask the Liberty and Gotham players about their experiences in their sport as well as how playing sports has positively impacted their lives.
