New York Liberty Hosts Annual Women’s Health Game

The New York Liberty hosted their annual Women’s Health Game presented by Empire BlueCross BlueShield on Sunday, August 6 when the team took on the Las Vegas Aces at 3 p.m. ET in front of a sold out crowd at Barclays Center.

Furthering the Liberty’s mission to embrace and uplift the women in our community, programming included a pregame Women’s Health Fair on the Ticketmaster Plaza. The event was completely free to the public and included the following activations:

· Mammogram screenings provided by Mount Sinai (from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

· ShapeUp NYC dance class programming

· Additional resources and information provided by Empire BlueCross BlueShield, Shady Grove Fertility, and Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.

To raise support and awareness for the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the New York Liberty donated $500 for every assist by Courtney Vandersloot throughout the game, for a total of a $3000 donation this far. For each Vandersloot assist at home throughout the remainder of the regular season, the New York Liberty will donate $100 for each Vandersloot assist.
