NY Liberty, Empire, and Breaking Ground Team Up To Provide Care Packages

The New York Liberty teamed up with Empire BlueCross Blue Shield and Breaking Ground to create over 500 care packages for residents of Breaking Ground’s safe haven transitional residences across New York City. Breaking Ground’s mission is to strengthen individuals, families, and communities by developing and sustaining supportive and affordable housing and programs for vulnerable New Yorkers. Volunteers of the event, including Liberty forward, Michaela Onyenwere, were tasked with packing clothes, socks, and writing inspirational messages for each care package.
