New York Liberty Celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day

National Girls and Women in Sports Day is an annual celebration of accomplishments female athletes have made throughout history and to recognize the importance of sports participation for young girls and women.

The New York Liberty collaborated with the American Dairy Association of the North East and BronxWorks to host an all girls basketball clinic in celebration of NGWSD. The 46 participants took part in a variety of activities on and off the court including basketball fundamentals and a social emotional learning session with a focus on the power of thought on your reality. The event concluded with a panel discussion talking about the positive impact sports have had on their lives.
